Dropping temperatures and wind chills will make it difficult to pick up points in Saturday night's primetime game between the Dolphins and Chiefs.
But in a game with two historically explosive offenses, there are still some overs worth targeting tonight.
According to most weather forecasts, temperatures are expected to be around -1 degree Celsius.
As the Post's Dylan Svoboda pointed out, the Dolphins are 0-10 in games played below 40 degrees, the worst record of any team in the league.
If this game really kicks off at less than zero, it will be only the fourth game in NFL history.
Including the wind chill, severe conditions are expected, with temperatures exceeding -20 degrees Celsius.
Don't expect too much offense in this match. But don't ignore that there are still plenty of big-play threats that can take away even the slightest gain of a touchdown.
Dolphins vs. Chiefs player props and picks
Justin Watson, 1.5 or more receptions (-130, DraftKings) | 5 or more receptions (15/1, Bet365)
The prop's long side will likely force the Chiefs to be in catch-up mode for much of the game as Patrick Mahomes tries to pull the Chiefs back.
Justin Watson is Mahomes' reliable receiver and should continue to attract a lot of attention, regardless of the script of the game. He had five goals in a 21-14 win over the Dolphins in November earlier this year.
Watson has received at least three targets in six of his last seven games. We all know he has Miami's secondary in tatters as well.
Watson is one of the most lucrative pass-catchers at this low price this weekend, and his 15/1 number is a very tasty number for his five receptions.
If the Chiefs go into catch-up mode, Watson will have no choice but to be a safety blanket of sorts tonight.
Patrick Mahomes makes a successful interception (+100, BetMGM)
Thought experiment – If his name were, say, Carson Wentz instead of Mahomes, would you notice a difference in his stats?
Mahomes has 14 interceptions this season, has at least one in 12 of 17 games, and is turning the ball over at an alarming rate.
Do you want to bet on the NFL?
Don't listen to the cold weather hype. This Dolphins team travels very well in the cold and should be noted as a good frontline team.
If the Dolphins win, the Chiefs will be in a tough position, forced to pitch more than they would like, and the chipped passes and drops that have plagued the Chiefs will become even more of a problem.
