Don Johnson held a mini family reunion on Instagram as he posed with his ex-mother-in-law.
In a recent Instagram post, Johnson shared a photo of him posing alongside his former mother-in-law, actress Tippi Hedren, in which Johnson wore a red baseball cap, pink collared shirt, and yellow jacket, while Hedren donned a patterned blue top and accessorized with rings on every finger and a striking necklace.
“Beautiful…. my co-star Tippi Hedren,” Johnson captioned the photo, which shows Hedren clinging to his arm and smiling alongside him.
Hedren and Johnson were mother and son-in-law when Johnson was married to Hedren's daughter Melanie Griffith. Fans were delighted to see them together again, with one fan writing in the comments section: “This family is amazing. I wish you all the best,” while another added: “Such a beautiful photo of you two! So happy to see you two smiling together.”

Griffith and Johnson were first married in 1976, but divorced just six months later. They remarried in a small ceremony at a ranch in Aspen, Colorado, in June 1989. The second marriage also ended in divorce, and the couple decided to go their separate ways in March 1994.
During their marriage, the couple had a daughter, Dakota Johnson, who went on to star in many hit films, including Fifty Shades of Grey, The Peanut Butter Falcon and Madame Webb.

Before the two actors met as stepparents, they co-starred in the 1973 film “The Harrad Experiment,” three years before Johnson was first married to Griffith. The film follows professor Philip Tenhausen and his wife Margaret (played by Hedren) as they begin to incorporate sexual activity into their curriculum, with a young Johnson appearing as one of their students.

After their second split, Griffith began dating actor Antonio Banderas in 1995. The two married a year later, in May 1996, and stayed together for nearly 20 years before divorcing in 2014. During their marriage, the couple had a daughter, Stella.

Griffith maintains good relationships with all three of her ex-husbands – Johnson, Banderas and Steven Bauer, whom she was married to from 1981 to 1989 and with whom she has son Alexander. “They are all my friends. I love them dearly,” she told People magazine in 2020.
She and Banderas recently celebrated the engagement of their daughter to entrepreneur Alex Gruszynski, who, according to an Instagram post by Griffith, she has known since they were both in kindergarten.
Not only does the Working Girl actress maintain a good relationship with her exes, but she encourages her children to do the same.

In November 2019, Dakota presented Banderas with an award at the Hollywood Film Awards, during which she expressed her love for the actor, calling him “one of the most influential people in my life” who married her mother when she was six and brought “an incredibly bright light and a whole new world of creativity and culture.”

The pair recently reunited in Malaga, Spain in July 2024. Banderas documented the reunion on Instagram, posting a photo of the pair arm-in-arm at a restaurant with the caption, “Happy: Dakota in Malaga!”

“She was 5 years old when I met her and we became a family,” he told Us Weekly in January 2020 about Dakota. “She's my daughter. I've traveled all over the world with her on my shoulders.”
