Don Lemon Launches Intense Criticism of GOP for Joyfully Mentioning Charlie Kirk to Steer Clear of Epstein Discussion

Don Lemon Critiques Republicans on Epstein Discussion

Former CNN host Don Lemon expressed his views on “The Don Lemon Show,” where he accused Republicans of keenly engaging with the topic of Jeffrey Epstein’s assassination, particularly in relation to Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk, who was allegedly killed at a Utah Valley University event.

Authorities have arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson in connection with Kirk’s death. During a live stream on his YouTube channel, Lemon suggested that Republicans were using Kirk’s situation as a distraction from the Epstein files. He remarked, “They use that opportunity to deflect the Epstein file, so they see them doing this. Whatever the liberal left is, I can’t believe it’s Charlie Kirk. They are evil, and we have to eradicate evil.”

Lemon, in a moment of satire, mimicked a conversation with President Donald Trump, sounding surprised that discussions had shifted away from Epstein. “Hello, boss. How did you do it? They’re not talking about Epstein right now. Ah, my god. They’re so cheating,” he said, reflecting on the political dynamics at play. “Now, where is the lie?”

The House Oversight Committee recently released over 33,000 pages of documents related to Epstein, obtained from the Department of Justice, which added to the ongoing discussions.

In his commentary, Lemon argued that the focus should be more on Trump’s connections to Epstein than on Kirk. He expressed frustration over the duration of the attention given to Kirk’s assassination, stating, “I’m sorry, but most stories, the shelf life in this media environment is not a day. It’s a few hours. And lasted almost a week with Charlie Kirk.”

Lemon also referenced a letter Trump allegedly sent to Epstein for inclusion in a book celebrating Epstein’s 50th birthday. This correspondence was part of the initial documentation from Epstein’s estate, according to sources related to the House Oversight Committee.

The Wall Street Journal had previously reported on this letter in July, which led to Trump filing lawsuits against various media entities and individuals involved in the reporting.
