Don Lemon and Anti-Trump Protesters Confront Marjorie Taylor Greene

Former CNN anchor Don Lemon has aligned himself with anti-Trump activists, making waves on Tuesday as he entered the office of Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene. This led to a tense confrontation with Greene’s staff.

Footage shared by Ford Fisher shows Lemon alongside protesters discussing their opposition to former President Donald Trump. Carlos Alvarez, the apparent leader of the group, stated, “We want to ensure she understands the necessity of removing Donald Trump from the picture.” He introduced himself as the founder of the American opposition.

Alvarez continued by highlighting previous protests, saying, “We’ve initiated various demonstrations, including street protests and Tesla boycotts.” Meanwhile, Lemon stood alongside him, capturing the interaction on his microphone.

However, Greene’s staff interrupted, asking them to desist from recording. “This is a private office,” one staff member insisted. Alvarez countered, saying they were there to speak with lawmakers.

The staff responded, “You’re not a resident of our district and aren’t requesting a meeting.” Alvarez insisted he was attempting to do just that, but the staff mentioned there was a formal protocol to follow.

Inside the office, Alvarez argued that they had the right to access Greene, stating that their actions were protected under the First Amendment. Yet staff rebutted, claiming taking pictures of a private office didn’t fall under that protection.

Eventually, the staff led them out, asserting, “We work for people in northwest Georgia,” as they shut the door. Members of the group could be heard shouting from outside, calling the staff “Nazis.”

While being escorted, Capitol police urged the group to remain quiet. No arrests were made during the incident.

In response, Greene remarked on social media about Lemon’s past, calling him a “misogynistic pig” and suggesting he was trying to attract attention for his new podcast. She claimed the group had “raided” her office.

Lemon later responded on Instagram, asserting he hadn’t attacked her office and denied being harassed during their visit, mentioning that he had also visited other representatives’ offices.

As of now, both Greene’s office and the White House have yet to comment on the unfolding situation.
