Argentina’s President Lauds Trump Following Maduro’s Arrest

In a video message on Tuesday, Argentina’s President Javier Milei praised former President Donald Trump as a “symbol of courage and leadership” after the recent arrest of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro.

Milei was supposed to attend the Hispanic Prosperity Gala at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida but was unable to make it due to scheduling issues. The event organizers presented him with the Economic Freedom Award, which he accepted via video.

During his speech, he reaffirmed Argentina’s strong alliance with the United States, highlighting that “good and expedient come together in foreign policy, because freedom is the mother of prosperity.”

“Amid the incompetence or inaction of multilateral organizations, Argentina is proud to have been invited to be part of President Trump’s International Peace Commission initiative,” Milei stated.

He also remarked on the significance of bringing “narco-terrorist Nicolás Maduro to justice,” categorizing Maduro as a tyrant who led a regime fraught with violence and suffering.

Milei pointed out that previous Argentine administrations chose to align with socialist regimes worldwide, which he believes betrayed the ideals for which the nation’s liberators fought. He emphasized his administration’s commitment to returning to the values of the West, alongside the United States, Israel, and other free nations.

“After drifting toward the edge, we celebrate the West’s revival of its principles under American leadership,” he noted.

Milei expressed hope that the model of freedom embraced by Argentina would spread throughout the continent, turning socialism into a mere memory.

“We must remain vigilant, as the price of freedom is eternal vigilance,” he cautioned. “God bless America, God bless the Republic of Argentina, may the powers of heaven guide us, and long live freedom!”
