President Donald Trump is pressing for clear answers regarding the ongoing debate over the Covid-19 vaccine. He stated, “It is very important that pharmaceutical companies justify the success of various COVID drugs. Many people think they’re miraculous, saving millions of lives, while others hold a different view.”
Recently, CVS and Walgreens decided to scale back on distributing Covid vaccines in over a dozen states following updated guidelines.
Trump expressed frustration, saying, “I’ve seen information from Pfizer and others, and while it’s impressive, they don’t seem to share those results with the public. Why is everyone going after the CDC? This information should be out there, and I plan to address this issue!” He made his comments in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic that surged during his first term, which included the Operation Warp Speed initiative aimed at accelerating vaccine development.
In a Monday post, Trump added, “I hope that Warp Speed is as ‘glorious’ as many claim. If not, we deserve to know the truth. Thank you for your attention to this critical issue!”
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the Secretary of Health and Human Services, acknowledged Trump’s commitment to what he termed “Gold Standard Science.” In response, Senator Bernie Sanders remarked that the Warp Speed initiative had indeed been successful.
Sanders pointed out, “You were right about Warp Speed and the effectiveness of Covid vaccines when you mentioned they saved tens of millions of lives. Vaccines have historically played roles in eradicating diseases like polio and measles,” sharing his thoughts on a social platform.
