Former President Donald Trump clarified his plans for future debates after Tuesday night's vice presidential debate.
The former White House resident exchanged views with vice presidential candidate Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) and Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate, Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minnesota). He waited until after that to reinforce his earlier statement that he was the next president. The discussion is over.

President Trump's command during the debate with President Joe Biden on June 27 prompted Democratic Party leaders to drop the 80-year-old president as a candidate.
Trump and Harris participated in an ABC News presidential debate in September. The bar set by Biden's disastrous debate is so low that Harris or anyone else could have easily cleared it.
But ABC News' own polling shows the debate has failed to change direction.

ABC News reported that “voting preferences have not moved in any meaningful way.” “This poll finds support for Harris vs. Trump among adults overall, 51% to 46%; among registered voters, 51% to 47%; among likely voters, 52% to 46%. ABC/Ipsos Public Opinion In the survey, each is within a percentage point of its pre-debate level.
Harris rebuked Trump for refusing to hold another debate, but her campaign reportedly does not agree to the terms proposed by the Trump campaign.
