Former President Donald Trump has endorsed Trent Staggs, the mayor of Riverton, Utah, who is running to replace Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah).

Staggs also accused Romney of being “out of touch” with Republican voters in the state.
After Romney announced he would not run for re-election in September 2023, Staggs responded that he was “ready” to field “America’s First” in Utah.
Before receiving Trump’s endorsement, Staggs received support from Rick Grenell, the former acting director of national intelligence in the Trump administration.
