‘Donald Trump Has Long Suffered from Delusions of Grandeur’

On Wednesday, MSNBC anchor Joy Reid told The Readout that former President Donald Trump “has long suffered from delusions of grandeur.”

“Donald Trump has long suffered from delusions of grandeur,” Reid said. “When it comes to his mounting legal troubles, he prefers to portray himself as a martyr, a victim of political persecution. Just a few… A month ago, he was comparing himself to a true historical figure.”

At a campaign rally on October 23, 2023, President Trump said: We do it for a reason. We do it for a reason. We have to save this country from the fascists and the lunatics we are dealing with. They’re terrible people. ”

Reid responded, “No, no, no, no, no.” We could easily argue countless times how Trump is nothing like Mandela, but who has time for that? And just last night, President Trump… Once again, you have made an inappropriate comparison.”

President Trump discussed the New York fraud verdict on Fox News, saying, “This is a form of Mr. Navalny. It’s a form of communism or fascism. Mr. Navalny was in a very sad situation. And he’s very brave. He was a very brave man…It’s scary, but the same thing is happening in our country. We are becoming a communist country in many ways.”

Reed said: It was announced last week that Navalny had died in a Russian prison. He had been imprisoned since returning to Russia in January 2021 after dying from severe poisoning several months ago. Nothing Mr. Trump says makes any sense. ”
