The Rev. Jackie Lewis said on MSNBC's “The Saturday Show” that former President Donald Trump is “just like” Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
“What's your opinion on Donald Trump's actions?” host Jonathan Capehart asked.
“It's outrageous, but it makes sense for authoritarians who want to drag us into the Nazi Germany story. We used racism and fascism for Nazi Germany. We know how it works,” Lewis said.
She continued, “Let's not pretend that Donald Trump isn't just like Mussolini or Hitler. That's exactly what he is. I want to say to the American people, Jonathan, I live in a neighborhood. You and I are both white partners. I live in a nice mixed neighborhood with all kinds of people, including Republicans. They're good people, they mow your lawn, they care about their neighborhood, they care about the world. Right? You good people, you don't want this guy just because the economy was good for five minutes under his administration. You good Christians, you kind, loving Jews, we are not these people. We are not these people.”
Lewis added: “We're not going to get what we want if we elect this fascist, authoritarian, vile person.”
