Donald Trump Jr. Claims Kirk's Assassination Indicates Leftists Have Completely Given Up in the Debate

Trump Jr. Reacts to Kirk’s Assassination

On Friday, Donald Trump Jr. commented on Fox News with Martha MacCallum, suggesting that the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), was indicative of a defeat for the left.

Authorities detained Tyler Robinson, who is accused of fatally shooting Kirk during a TPUSA “Proof Me Wrong” event at Utah Valley University earlier in the week. Trump Jr. characterized Kirk’s killing as a tactic reminiscent of fascism.

“Charlie and I have discussed this extensively, particularly the irony of the anti-fascist movement. They’re taking cues from historical fascists,” Trump Jr. noted during the episode of “The Story.” He continued to emphasize that when one disagrees with someone today, there seems to be a trend toward violence rather than debate. “We need to stop calling them anti-fars. Their actions reflect a fascist tendency,” he stated.

Throughout various campaigns, including the upcoming 2024 presidential election and the 2022 midterms, Democrats have frequently branded President Trump and Republicans as fascists or threats to democracy. In response, Trump Jr. argued that this increase in violence signals a broader lack of ideas from the left.

“It’s clear, Martha, they’ve lost the plot. Their arguments have failed. Instead of developing a better idea or adapting, they resort to violence. And it’s important to note—it’s not happening both ways; it’s overwhelmingly one-sided,” Trump Jr. explained.

He pointed out that much of this hostility stems from those aligned with the Democrats, suggesting that the media has played a role in fanning these flames of hatred. Trump Jr. also mentioned that certain outlets might have tried to erase previous comments they made regarding him, his father, and Kirk.

On social media, the account “Westernlensman” shared a compilation of Democrats asserting that Republicans are ushering in fascism. During a DNC meeting in August, Chairman Ken Martin referred to the U.S. as having a “fascist administration.”

“Labeling those you disagree with as the greatest threat to democracy is misleading, especially since the more extreme factions deny any involvement,” Trump Jr. said.

Law enforcement discovered a shell casing at the crime scene, allegedly linked to a rifle used in the assassination, which bore a slogan associated with antifa and other left-wing groups.
