The outlet also cited a separate survey which found that more respondents saw Trump as the “stronger” and “more charismatic” candidate.
James Johnson, co-founder of JL Partners, said that while Harris has made gains among younger voters, black voters and independents, Trump has a more active base, and that Trump “has held his own among white voters, Hispanics and those over 50.”
“Harris’s biggest supporters remain among 18-49 year olds, largely due to Trump’s advantages on the economy and the border,” he said, adding, “But at this point it looks like it’s going to be a much tighter contest than a sure thing for Harris to win.”

The poll comes as Trump predicts that Harris’ honeymoon in both the polls and the mainstream media may finally be coming to an end.
“Yeah, it’s over. The honeymoon period is over,” Trump told reporters at a news conference on Thursday. “She’s having a little bit of a moment. We have our convention coming up.”
“It’s not about her. I look at her and I think she’s incompetent. She’s destroyed California. She’s destroyed San Francisco. Everything she touched has turned bad,” he said, explaining that the election is about policy.
“I don’t want to use foul language, but everything she’s been involved in has gone bad. She’s incompetent,” he added.
Harris has yet to hold a press conference since Biden dropped out of the race and selected her as his successor.
