For years, Democrats have proudly dubbed Kamala Harris their “border czar” to highlight her role on immigration.
But it’s becoming increasingly clear that this title is nothing to brag about, as she appears to have done nothing to solve the very clear crisis on the southern border.
And a new political ad from Donald Trump highlights just how bad the “border czar” has been.
The ad begins with footage of Harris dancing in a brightly colored button-down shirt, before a voiceover announces, “This is America’s ‘border czar.'”
“She has let us down. Under Harris’s administration, more than 10 million people are in the country illegally. 250,000 Americans have died from fentanyl. Brutal immigrant crime and ISIS are here now,” the narrator continues.
The ad then shows the now-famous clip of Harris telling a reporter, “I’ve never even been to Europe,” admitting that she has never been to the border.
Gray has one criticism of the ad, but it’s not a major one.
“Whether you care about nitpicking or not, that was not her title. Everybody knows it was not her official title. But she was put in charge of the border,” Gray said. “She was put in charge of border security. This is just a fact that they’re trying to erase from the American psyche.”
The statistics on the border are crystal clear, but Harris doesn’t seem to understand them.
“I am proud to compare my record with his any day now” on immigration, Harris said at a recent rally.
“Do it,” Gray says. “You’ll lose.”
