Donald Trump Secures Extradition of Illegal Alien Accused of Killing Sarah Root

President Donald Trump's administration secured the extradition of an illegal foreigner accused of murdering 21-year-old Sarah Root in Omaha, Nebraska on January 31, 2016.

On Friday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that Honduras' illegal foreigner Eswin Mezia has been handed over to the US and will “facing justice” for Ruto's death.

“Justice will ultimately be provided for Sarah Root,” Rubio said. I said:

Nine years ago, Sarah was tragically killed by illegal immigrants and later fled our county. Today, the Trump administration announces the extradition of Sarah's murderer from Honduras. To face justice in the United States. We would like to thank the Honduras government for their cooperation and support. [Emphasis added]

America's first policy

Before Root's death, Mezia had been released inside America by the Obama administration after crossing the southern border. He was subsequently arrested and charged with killing a root in a drunken driving hit and rank rush, but was released from prison for a small bond and fled the United States.

“The man who murdered my daughter illegally entered the country. He entered as an unaccompanied minor, committed additional crimes, drove while drunk, destroyed a truck on his daughter, and ran away after posting $5,000 bonds,” Angel Mama Michelle Root told Congress in 2021.

“His bail was less than what was costly to bury my baby,” Michelle Root said. “He was never convicted. Yes, this happened during the Obama administration. Policy was leaving, ignoring the sanctuary cities and turning a blind eye to illegal immigrants in our country.”

Sarah Root would have been 31 years old on May 1st.
