Donald Trump Signs ‘a Lot’ of January 6 Pardons After Inauguration

One of President Donald Trump's first acts after taking office on Monday was to sign a “massive” pardon in the Oval Office on January 6th.

President Trump had a busy day, but not so busy as to pardon the roughly 1,500 people he deemed “hostages” in the weaponization of justice under President Joe Biden.

“Tonight, I'm going to sign for the J6 hostages, a pardon to free them,” President Trump told the crowd at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.

“And as soon as I leave, I'm going to go to the Oval Office and sign pardons for a bunch of people,” he added.

President Trump then visited the White House and signed the executive order.

President Trump began the day at St. John's Church. Afterwards, he had tea with former President Joe Biden at the White House. He was sworn in at the Capitol, had lunch, and then participated in the presidential parade.

President Trump will conclude his day by attending the Commander-in-Chief Ball, the Liberty Inaugural Ball, and the Starlight Ball. But before the ball, he plans to go to the Oval Office and sign the pardon on January 6th.
