President-elect Donald Trump on Friday denounced Judge Juan Machan's unconditional dismissal ruling against him in a Manhattan business records case as a “sneaky show.”
Trump's comments came shortly after Marchand ruled in a Truth Social post not to punish the president-elect but to uphold the jury's conviction.
Trump denounced the ruling as a travesty and vowed to appeal near the end of his post.
“Today's events were a despicable travesty, but now that they are over, we will appeal these meritless hoaxes and restore the American people's faith in our once-great justice system. ”Make America Great Again! ” he wrote.
President Trump began his comments by accusing Democrats of losing to “another pathetic, un-American witch hunt,” and went on to highlight the resources New York state government has poured into the case.
Tens of millions of dollars and more than six years of obsession that should have been spent protecting New Yorkers from the violent, rampant crimes that are ravaging New York City and the state, and working with the Biden/Harris Justice Department on the weaponization of lawlessness. After wasting my job and making completely baseless, illegal, and false accusations against the 45th and 47th presidents, I was unconditionally discharged from office.
President Trump argued that the ruling itself proves the case must be dismissed.
“This result alone proves, as every legal scholar and expert has said, that there was no case, that there was never a case, and that this entire fraud deserves to be completely dismissed.” He added that American voters are “true justice.” Juror,” they said on Nov. 5.
By reelecting me by an overwhelming vote in one of the most consequential elections in history, the voice of the true jury, the American people, has been heard. As the American people have seen, this “case” has no crime, no damages, no evidence, no facts, no law, just a highly inconsistent judge and a disqualified, disgraced, serial perjurer. There was just one star witness, and criminal election interference. .
The case is People vs. TrumpNo. 71543/23, New York County Supreme Court.
