Byron Donald’s Campaign Targets Kamala Harris
Rep. Byron Donald from Florida has plans for a campaign event this Thursday, placing a truck outside a book tour stop for former Vice President Kamala Harris in Miami. This truck will showcase a video with a clear slogan: “Kamala Harris and radical Florida Democrats are for them. Byron Donalds is for you,” as reported by Fox News Digital.
While it doesn’t name them directly, the video focuses on two Democratic gubernatorial candidates. It includes imagery of rainbow pride flags alongside representatives such as Harris, Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings, and David Jolly, who is running as a Democrat while previously serving as a Republican congressman.
Harris, who was unsuccessful in the 2024 presidential race, recently authored a book titled “107 Days,” reflecting on her campaign journey.
Notably, Harris had previously expressed pride in her “behind the scenes” work to provide gender surgery access for all transgender inmates in California while serving as attorney general. Her past statements from 2019 will feature in the video that Donald’s campaign plans to use during this event.
According to Ryan Smith, chief strategist for Donald’s campaign, “Kamala Harris and Joe Biden’s policies have devastated families with overwhelming inflation, open borders, and radical policies that weaken our country. Now, Jerry Demings and David Jolly are fighting to carry the torch of the Democratic Party and its radical policies in Florida.”
Smith further stated, “Kamala Harris and the Florida Democratic Party are there for them. Byron Donald is on your side! As governor, Byron Donald will fight for common-sense policies that make life more affordable for all Floridians.”
Earlier this year, Donald launched his gubernatorial campaign, bolstered by an endorsement from former President Trump, who expressed his support on social media, stating, “Byron Donald will be a truly great and powerful Governor of Florida, and if he decides to run, he will have my full and complete support. Run, Byron, run!”
There’s definitely tension rising in the Florida political landscape, especially with accusations coming from those aligned with Trump against candidates like Donald. The upcoming events promise to escalate these dynamics as the campaigns push forward.
