Rep. Byron Donald (R-Florida) said he was “not surprised” that President-elect Trump did not nominate him to the post in his new administration.
Donald appeared on CNN's “Laura Coats Live” on Wednesday night and was asked if he was surprised he wasn't chosen to be one of President Trump's senior staff or Cabinet members.
“All I can say is I'm not surprised that my name wasn't mentioned, but that doesn't mean I won't do other things in the future,” Donald said.

Host Laura Coates asked whether President Trump had “asked” her to serve in the role.
