‘Don’t Cry for Me, Argentina; Fight for Donald Trump’

Peter Navarro says it’s vital he continues to fight for former President Donald Trump as legal battles against Trump and his associates continue and he could be jailed for failing to comply with Congressional subpoenas He said this while appearing on the show. Breitbart News Saturday, offered the following parting words: “Don’t cry for me, Argentina. Let’s fight for Donald Trump.”

Navarro, who served as President Trump’s trade adviser, could be jailed next week for refusing to comply with the orders of the now-defunct House of Representatives Select Committee on January 6. He has filed an urgent application for intervention with the Supreme Court, which has asked the Justice Department to respond by Monday afternoon, the day before he is scheduled to go to prison. Meanwhile, Mr. Navarro is also planning to publish his book. new MAGA tradingexplores the “future policies and bold initiatives” of the second Trump administration.

“Do you think they’re doing this to you because of what you stand for and what you talk about in this book? They shut you up , are you trying to avoid being on Trump’s side as he promotes this America First policy?” host Matthew Boyle asked.

Mr. Navarro acknowledged that he had several legal issues, but ultimately was charged with contempt by Democratic Congressmen during the administration of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.). , said he was indicted.

“I was indicted and indicted by the Democratic Department of Justice. I was stripped of all defenses by the judge in this case before going to jury trial, but I didn’t realize this at jury trial — “That’s an amazing statistic, Matt — 95 percent of voters who voted, 95 percent voted for Biden in the 2020 District of Columbia election,” he said, to draw a larger perspective on the jury pool. pointed this out.

“Basically, I’m going to jail at the hands of the Democrats. So take it from there,” Navarro said, adding that he always believed the case was destined to be fought before the Supreme Court.

“This isn’t about me, okay. This is about the constitutional separation of powers and the sanctity of so-called executive privilege that goes back to George Washington. …And the irony of this whole thing is that the judiciary… The Department itself…Democratic and Republican administrations have said for more than 50 years that they cannot subpoena the president, his alter ego, that he is a senior adviser in the White House. They just can’t do it. you can’t. [It] It violates the separation of powers. So if I go to prison and lose on appeal, separation of powers as we know it will end and executive privilege will die a slow death at the hands of the Biden administration. And I’m sure the Democrats don’t want that either, so that’s not good,” he explained.

“This is a fight that I’m fighting on behalf of the Constitution on principle. I did what I had to do to uphold my oath of office. And I did what I had to do to uphold my oath of office. I’m honored that it’s even gone to court. Let’s see what happens,” he said, adding that they weren’t deciding on the case itself, but rather “should I just be released pending appeal? “They will decide whether or not to do so. By the way, that is normal in cases like mine,” he added.

“My lawyers were very upset about the district court decision,” he said, adding: Argentina, please don’t cry for me. Fight for Donald Trump now. ”

“In 2024, we have to win,” he added.
