Disturbing Incident Involves Delivery Driver in Indiana

In a troubling event in Evansville, Indiana, video has surfaced showing a DoorDash delivery driver potentially pepper-spraying a customer’s food order. This incident caught the attention of local authorities and the company, raising alarms about food safety.

Occurred early Sunday morning, this incident seems to have been unprovoked and led to significant discomfort for the couple who received the order. Doorbell camera footage reveals a woman with purple hair dropping off her Arby’s order, taking a photo, and then quietly using a spray on the bag before leaving.

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office announced they are investigating what they described as an alarming situation. Sheriff Noah Robinson mentioned that officers were called to the home shortly after the couple consumed their meal, both experiencing intense burning sensations in various areas of their bodies.

Mark Cardin, the resident involved, recounted his experience. He noted that they only realized something was wrong as his wife began to choke and ultimately vomited after a few bites. Upon examining the bag, they detected a residue and accessed the doorbell footage, which confirmed their fears about the driver’s actions.

In his posts on social media, Cardin expressed concern about the random nature of this attack, stating how terrifying it was. He said, “We’re assuming it was pepper spray, but, honestly, it could have been something far worse.” He emphasized the frightening possibility that something more dangerous might have been used.

Following the incident, DoorDash refunded the order and has reportedly terminated the driver’s association with them. A spokesperson emphasized that they have zero tolerance for such behaviors and are collaborating with law enforcement.

As of now, the delivery driver’s identity remains unknown, and no arrests have been made. The sheriff’s office is actively pursuing leads, urging anyone with information to reach out.
