DoorDash, Klarna sign deal for deferred, installment food delivery payments

Doordash and Klarna offer a “Buy Now, Pay Later” program, which is responsible for payments for postponed and installment food delivery.

“In the coming months, Doordash customers will be able to enjoy Klarna's seamless range of payment options when purchasing grocery, retail, and even Dashpass Annual plans at Doordash.com or through the Doordash app,” according to the webpage. About Klarna's trading Website.

Klarna is expected to be shown as a way of paying when Doordash's customers are checking out, and according to the web page, they are given the option to pay in full for the purchase, in four installments, or pay at once, which works well for themselves.

“The partnership with Doordash marks an important milestone in Klarna's expansion into the daily spending category,” said David Sykes, Klarna's chief commercial officer, on the page.

“By providing smarter and more flexible payment solutions for groceries, take-out and retail essentials, we make convenience even more accessible to millions of Americans,” added Sykes.

Last year, Grubhub and Amazon announced that Amazon Prime memberships will permanently include non-cost subscriptions for Grubhub+ Food Delivery Service. Previously, Amazon offered Prime members a year of Grubhub+ Membership in the summer of 2022, but later extended the additional one-year offer in June 2023.

“As we expand our offerings from groceries and beauty to electronics and gifts, flexible payment options are essential to meeting our customers' needs,” said Anand Subbarayan, head of money products at Doordash, on a web page.

“We'll partner with Klarna to include the most affordable ways to order with Doordash with additional streaming and ride benefits, including the flexible payment options on Dashpass Annual Plan, at no additional charge.”
