Dornoch won the 156th Belmont Stakes on Saturday.
Preakness winner She’s the Grey took the lead at the 3/4 mile mark with Dornoch close behind, and the two were neck and neck going into the final corner, but She’s the Grey dropped back as Mind Frame closed on the outside.
However, it was Dornoch who crossed the finish line first.
Dornoch finished at 17-1. Sierra Leone, the favorite to win both Saturday’s race and the Derby, came in third.

It will be the sixth consecutive year that three different horses have won one of the Triple Crown races, and the first time a horse has won multiple races since Justify won all three in 2018.
Jockey Luis Saez won his second Belmont Stakes.
Former Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Jayson Werth owns 10% of Dornoch.
Because Belmont Park is undergoing major renovations, this year’s race has been moved to Saratoga Race Course in upstate New York.
Horses and jockeys had to adapt to a new course: the race is normally 1.5 miles, but Saratoga’s oval race course is only 1.25 miles long.

This year’s race was run over 1.25 miles, the same distance as the Kentucky Derby.
Two-time Super Bowl winning head coach Bill Parcells was also in attendance, which is no surprise for the legendary New York Giants coach who is not only a frequent visitor to the course but also calls Saratoga Springs home.

The race is scheduled to return to Saratoga next year before returning home in 2026.
