Doug Burgum on Energy ‘Tiger Team’: We’re Advancing Projects

The National Energy Dominance Council is the “Tiger Team” responsible for the postponed progression project, Interior Secretary Doug Burgham told Breitbart News' Matthew Boyle's chief Matthew Boyle in a “Conversation with Interior Secretary Doug Burgham” at policy event Wednesday.

“Think of it as a tiger team. It's a small group of people. It's within the White House, it's part of the Executive Office branch and I'll tell you that we're not.

“So, if there is a project that is important to national security, important to our country, important to our president, our job is to build that project,” he said.

Bergham chairs the newly formed council and said energy secretary Chris Wright is at the helm.

Watch – “Four Babies”: Doug Burgham goes to unlock America's potential beyond “drills, babies, drills”:

“I think he is actually the first energy secretary from the energy industry. It's an interesting new twist, but he has a background in geothermal, nuclear, all the important work that our national lab does with energy. He is the vice-chairman of two-thirds of this group,” he said.

The idea he went on is that if there is a project that Trump needs and has been hanging for years, he comes to the group and says, “We have people who can move that project forward, and people who may have been in the way of the project in past administrations.”

“They're all in one place. We can all move very quickly to get things moving forward,” Burgham explained.

The goal is “very simple,” and the Interior Secretary went on to explain that the administration is trying to sell energy to friends and allies, so there is no need to rely on the enemy.

“We want to help end conflicts overseas, funded by energy sales. And at home, we want to generate more energy to support only affordable, lower inflation. We need to gain more broad objectives, especially to win the very important AI arms race with China. “That's our highest level mission.”
