Doug Ellin Supports Spencer Pratt for Mayor of Los Angeles
Doug Ellin, the mastermind behind “Entourage,” has voiced his frustration with the current situation in Los Angeles and is backing Spencer Pratt’s mayoral bid.
Ellin shared his personal experiences regarding the increase in crime, revealing that his home was once broken into by masked intruders, which prompted him to upgrade his security. He mentioned that just five years ago, he felt comfortable leaving his doors unlocked, but now he has installed “15 cameras, two German Shepherds, [and] three legal guns.”
In a video posted on social media, he noted, “People might say, ‘Oh, Spencer Pratt has no experience!’ … But, really, what kind of experience does Mayor Karen Bass have?”
He emphasized the need to improve the city, stating, “We want to fix this place because we want to live here, we don’t want to be forced out.”
Ellin recounted his encounter with crime, expressing, “I know they were animals because they invaded my house. I don’t care about their excuses; home invaders should get significant time.”
He continued to describe a community struggling with safety: “Everyone in my neighborhood is experiencing the same issues; we’re all installing cameras and hiring high-end security because of the break-ins. This situation is not exaggerated; the city has really gone downhill in the past five years.”
Ellin concluded with frustration towards those who deny these issues, saying, “There is no denying it unless you have an agenda, and I’m not sure what that agenda is.”
According to Ellin, he played a role in shaping the city’s image positively in the past. He mentioned, “I’m someone who made this city look great! I did it for years. I glorified it.” But he feels things have changed drastically: “I meet people all the time who moved here because of my show—and they hate it now. HATE!”
Safety has emerged as a core theme in Pratt’s campaign for mayor. Notable figures backing him include Dennis Quaid, Paris Hilton, Joe Rogan, James Woods, and others from the reality TV realm, such as Kristin Cavallari and Audrina Patridge.
