Renowned sex therapist and media personality Dr. Ruth Westheimer has passed away at the age of 96.
Westheimer died on Friday in New York City surrounded by her family, a spokesman said.
Known for her entertaining, outspoken manner and her frank discussion of sexual topics, Westheimer has appeared on numerous late-night talk shows and written several best-selling books.
