Drake May and his wife, Ann Michael, just experienced a moment they’ll likely cherish forever.
Right after the Patriots clinched a 10-7 victory over the Broncos in the AFC Championship, sending them to the 2026 Super Bowl, New England’s second-year quarterback spotted his favorite teammate and celebrated—a scene beautifully captured in recent footage from NFL Films against a snowy backdrop in Denver.
“Where are you going?” Ann Michael asked, clearly overjoyed, as she embraced May. He replied, “I don’t know, I’m going somewhere.”
The couple took a moment to soak in their accomplishment together.
“I’m going to the Super Bowl!” Ann Michael exclaimed. “Oh my god.”
May, at 23, wrapped his arms around his wife, admiring her custom Patriots gear.
“I love you so much,” Ann Michael said before they shared a kiss. “Congratulations, baby. I love you.”
There was plenty to celebrate that day as May and the Patriots made their first Super Bowl appearance since 2019.
During the game, May completed 10 out of 21 passes for 86 yards and scored the decisive touchdown in the second quarter.
A weather-affected second half wrapped up with the Patriots winning thanks to Andy Borregales’ 23-yard field goal.
May stated, “We have to get one more win. We still have work to do. I’m very proud of this team.”
Under coach Mike Vrabel, the Patriots have had an impressive turnaround from finishing at the bottom of the AFC East last season to achieving a 14-3 record and claiming the division title.
New England, alongside Sam Darnold and others, emerged victorious against the Rams, winning the NFC Championship 31-27, and will now face the Seahawks in the Super Bowl.
This year has certainly been significant for May and Ann Michael, who tied the knot in June, just before their sophomore season started.
May, once a quarterback at UNC, threw for 31 touchdowns and eight interceptions, ultimately securing the MVP title.
Interestingly, Ann Michael has also gained recognition this season through the TikTok series Bakemasu.
“She’s the Queen of the North. Everyone loves her. She’s our girl,” said Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy recently.
With the Seahawks favored in Super Bowl 60, May has been managing a right shoulder issue, detailed in an injury report released Wednesday.
The big game is set to kick off next Sunday in Santa Clara at 6:30 p.m.
