Dramatic video shows truck slam into first responder vehicles

Shocking dashcam footage shows an out-of-control truck crashing into two first responders in Michigan this week.

Around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, first responders were assisting another accident on the snow-covered highway when a truck plowed into a fire truck on the side of Interstate 94, then rolled over. It crashed into a sheriff's patrol car parked in front of it. Fire engine.

The entire terrifying incident was captured on dashcam footage from another vehicle parked behind the fire engine.

In the video, the first overturned vehicle can be seen being assisted by first responders on the side of the highway before the accident.

The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office said no first responders were injured.

The truck driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

In the video, several first responders can be seen running towards them and fleeing after the first truck was hit.

“We urge everyone to refrain from traveling during the harsh winter months unless absolutely necessary,” the sheriff's office said on Facebook while sharing the video. “If you must travel on the road, please use extreme caution, slow down, and allow extra time to reach your destination. Your safety and the safety of first responders depend on it.”

The sheriff's office said Thursday's storms “created dangerous driving conditions throughout Kalamazoo County, including multiple vehicle crashes and slide-offs, particularly on highways.”
