Draymond Green aims to ‘remove the antics’ upon Warriors return

Draymond Green vowed to “take the crap out of” his game as he prepares to return to the Warriors.

While Green, 33, is preparing to return to action following an indefinite suspension from the NBA, the Warriors forward is looking to avoid putting himself in any other situations that could result in disciplinary action. There is.

“Antics are tolerated and I have committed to not allowing them to creep in,” Green said. According to ESPN's Mark J. Spears.

Green was suspended for the second time this season after landing a spinning backfist during an incident with Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in December.

He returned to the league over the weekend.

It was Green's third physical altercation this year, coming on the heels of a five-game suspension for putting Timberwolves star Rudy Gobert in a headlock in November.

During Tuesday's media availability, Green said he “disappoints so many people” around the Warriors and said he “cares about people.”

The four-time NBA All-Star doesn't have a set date for his return, but he understands the urgency of preparation.

Golden State has struggled this season, ranking 12th in the Western Conference with a 17-19 record.

“There was no injury, so it's an emergency from a professional standpoint,” Green said Tuesday. “At least my body wasn't hurt. I was hurt mentally and emotionally, but the injury wasn't the reason I left the court. It was a huge loss to the team, so I took it very seriously.” I have sacrificed enough for this organization.

“For me, it's not a time to just come back and think, 'Okay, I'll take my time and come back when I can.' No, you yourself caused this. You have grace. I can’t get it.”

Green appeared in 15 games for the Warriors this season, averaging 9.7 points, 5.8 assists and 5.5 rebounds.
