Draymond Green trolls Suns rival Jusuf Nurkic over suspension

The long-running feud between Draymond Green and Jusuf Nurkic has taken a new turn.

Nurkic was suspended for three games in late December after getting into an altercation with Naji Marshall during a game between the Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks.

For some reason, Green hasn't previously addressed this on his podcast, The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis.

But of course, Green didn't hesitate to poke fun at Nurkic's actions and begin drawing parallels to their own heated history.

Green: “I don’t really understand.” said about the argument. “He brought up an argument out of nowhere and then changed his tune. I hope that brother gets the help he needs. There's something wrong with him just coming back and swinging like that.”

The incident unfolded when Nurkic, who was called for an offensive foul, confronted Marshall and shook his head.

Marshall retaliated with punches and PJ Washington forced Nurkic to the ground before authorities could intervene.

The NBA suspended Marshall for four games, Nurkic for three games and Washington for one game.

Green's comments appeared to be mocking Nurkic's postgame comments following a matchup in which Green punched Nurkic during the 2023 Suns-Golden State Warriors game.

“Personally, I think that brother needs help,” Nurkic said at the time.

Now, Green is turning the tables.

“Nurkić, stop trying to push people around,” Green's co-host Baron Davis added. “You don't like it.”

The rivalry between Green and Nurkic continues to escalate, with the pair trading verbal jabs since an altercation last year.

Fans won't have to wait long for the next chapter. The Warriors and Suns are scheduled to face off again on January 31st at Chase Center in what promises to be a tense game.

However, despite being healthy and active, Nurkic missed two consecutive games at the discretion of his coach.
