Driver dozes off and crashes into Amazon delivery truck in startling video

Doorbell camera footage recently captured a striking incident in Mineral Wells, Texas, where an Amazon delivery truck collided head-on with a car while the driver was inside. The crash, as reported, was attributed to Micah Meek, who allegedly fell asleep at the wheel while heading home from work.

According to authorities, Meek was also driving without a valid license. They indicated he had taken the vehicle out after working that morning, which led to a police chase prior to the accident.

In the footage, Dashon Holloman, the Amazon employee, can be seen outside the vehicle. Bystanders rushed to assist both drivers following the crash. Homeowner Christy Miller, whose doorbell camera recorded the event, recalled that when she approached Holloman, he asked her, “Did you get your package?” It seems he had just completed a delivery to her neighbor.

Holloman, a husband and father from Fort Worth who recently began working for Amazon, received support from the company after the incident, as they expressed concern for his well-being.

Resident Stormy Robern described how he heard loud noises shortly after Holloman’s delivery. He noted, “He had just delivered to my neighbor’s house, and then I heard a big boom and him screaming.” This unpredictability adds a layer of drama to an otherwise routine day.

Both drivers were treated for minor injuries at the scene, and police confirmed that there were no signs of alcohol or speeding involved. An Amazon spokesperson later expressed gratitude that both drivers were safe and appreciated the community’s quick support.
