Drone footage shows a woman being rescued in Florida after her car began to be swept away by floodwaters caused by Hurricane Debbie.
The shocking footage was captured Tuesday along a road in Parish, southwest Florida, as Manatee County officials surveyed damage from a storm that had passed through the area the previous day.
“It’s rapids, man,” Manatee County Commissioner Kevin Van Ostenbridge could be heard telling a 911 dispatcher after the driver of the SUV was seen being pulled out of the car window and carried to safety.
The footage begins with the driver’s car stalling as he attempts to cross a heavily flooded road.
