Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert reportedly got so drunk at a Republican party celebration in the Big Apple that she had to be stopped by a bartender, but witnesses denied the claim to the Post.
The controversial congressman’s apparently drunken behavior at the New York Young Republicans’ annual event in December included troubling former President Donald Trump by repeatedly posing for selfies with him. CNN reported that security guards tried to stop her.
Servers at the event, held in the Cipriani Ballroom, told Boebert they would not bring any more booze. Multiple sources told CNN.
Boebert was seated at the gala’s marquee table, along with Steve Bannon, Florida Republican Rep. Corey Mills, club president Gavin Wax and Trump.
Officials told the Saturday Post that Boebert had not been sober, but had irritated Trump during the event.
“She came in between Gavin Wax and President Trump and tried to take a selfie with them both. After taking a few selfies and feeling dissatisfied with the way she looked, she took more selfies. “I tried to take a picture, but President Trump pushed me and said, ‘Enough is enough,'” one witness said.
Boebert declined to comment.
“We all know that the Young Republican Club of New York throws the best celebrations,” Gavin Wax, president of the Young Republican Club of New York, said in a statement.
“If you ask Congresswoman Boebert if she had a good time at our celebration, the answer is ‘I hope so.'”

This is far from the lawmaker’s first controversial fight in public.
