Duchess Sarah Ferguson has been diagnosed with malignant melanoma.
A representative for the Duchess of York told People magazine: “After being diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer this summer, Sarah, Duchess of York has been diagnosed with malignant melanoma.”
During reconstructive surgery following a mastectomy, Ferguson had a mole removed and was subsequently examined. One of the moles turned out to be cancerous.

“The Duchess would like to thank the entire medical team who supported her, especially the dermatologists who ensured that the disease was detected,” the statement continued.
“She believes her experience highlights the importance of checking the size, shape, color, texture, and appearance of new moles, which could be a sign of melanoma. ”

The rep added: “She is undergoing further investigation to confirm what was discovered at an early stage. Obviously, receiving a new diagnosis so soon after treatment for breast cancer is distressing, but the Duchess is He is still in good health,” he added.
She revealed in a post on New Year's Eve that she had overcome breast cancer.
Ferguson, better known as “Fergie,” has two daughters. princess eugenie Princess Beatrice and her ex-husband Prince Andrew.
Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson married in 1986 and divorced in 1996, just months before King Charles divorced Princess Diana.
