“Dukes of Hazzard” star Catherine Bach may still be wearing her famous “Daisy Duke” shorts.
Bach, who played Daisy Duke on the original TV series, spoke to Fox News Digital at the wedding of co-stars John Schneider and Dee Dee Sorvino at the Hollywood Museum in Los Angeles on August 1, during an interview about whether there are plans for a reunion or reboot.
“Well, you know, shows are mystical at best because you never know what’s going to work, or if things are going to work out,” Bach explained to Fox News Digital. “And you have to have good writers. It’s not just about writing an idea.”

“We have to execute on that idea. So if all goes well, then yes,” she said. “I’ll still be here, the guys will still be here, so that would be great, but you never know.”

The Dukes of Hazzard told the story of the Duke boys from Hazzard County and aired from 1979 to 1985.
Fast forward to the present day, and fans may still be able to see Bach in the classic denim shorts that the sitcom made famous.
“You can come over to my house and watch me work in the yard,” Bach revealed. “Or on the beach. Honestly, on the beach.”

Bach did not initially want the role of Daisy Duke.
“They actually looked for the role for a year,” Bach told Fox News Digital in 2019. “I went to New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Georgia, California. And nothing was coming. So I said, ‘I’m so glad you thought of me. I know you’re doing this for my husband, but you don’t have to.’ I didn’t think I had a chance. But he was like, ‘I’d love for you to come.'”
“A few weeks later, I was in a little Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills with my girlfriend. She was directing a one-act play of mine. I said to her, ‘I actually have an interview I’m supposed to go to, but I can’t go. You know the part of Daisy Duke at Warner Brothers? They want me to come, but I don’t think I can go.’ She said, ‘It’s Warner Brothers. You never know who you’re going to see on your way in and out. Just go!’ So I went.”
“When I finished reading at the audition, there was complete silence in the room, and I thought, ‘Oh no, they didn’t like my performance,’ and then the whole audience, about 30 people in all, stood up and started clapping,” Bach recalled. “They shared my vision of how the role should be played, and two weeks later I was on a plane to Georgia.”

Forty-five years later, Bach attended Schneider and Sorvino’s wedding on August 1.
“I never thought I’d be able to hold hands or laugh again,” Schneider told Fox News Digital at the wedding reception.

Schneider’s late wife, Alicia Allan Schneider, passed away in 2023 after battling breast cancer for four years. Sorvino’s late husband, actor Paul Sorvino, passed away in 2022. Both Schneider and Sorvino said they felt a bit “guilt” over the recent deaths of their spouses.
“We’ve lost our spouses, and we were very happy in those relationships, so I think it’s hard not to feel guilty,” Sorvino explained.
“I felt really guilty,” Schneider admitted. “I felt guilty. I was like, ‘Oh my God, what is this?’ I was more critical of myself than anyone else. But what ultimately worked for me was laughter. I know that sounds like a small thing, but laughter is so important.”
