Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson caught everyone off guard with his noticeably slimmer physique at the Venice Film Festival.
The former professional wrestler was in the picturesque city to promote his upcoming film, The Smashing Machine.
At the event, Johnson sported a light blue collared shirt paired with black dress pants, radiating a smile as he seemed even more trim.
Fans took to X to comment on his apparent weight loss, particularly noting his transformation from the beloved voice of “Moana.”
One user remarked humorously, “The rock has been transformed into pebbles…” while another quipped, “It looks like an AI to me.” A third worried, saying, “I hope he’s not sick because he looks very thin.”
Someone pointed out, “This isn’t something he has recently; he was hitting the gym hard six or seven months ago. I can’t believe he lost that much muscle so quickly.”
Page 6 reached out to Johnson’s team for a statement, but there was no immediate response.
The 53-year-old star of “Black Adam” recently shared that he made a conscious decision to change his physique for his new role.
Over the weekend, Johnson expressed about his transformation, “This was something I was really hungry for.” He reflected on his career and said there was a voice inside him pushing for growth.
Earlier this summer, Johnson had opened up about dealing with gut health issues for years, which had been a struggle.
He recalled feeling good yet unable to completely resolve his issues, stating, “I can’t fix it completely. I feel good – that’s weird – but I can’t break it.”
Johnson began addressing his health challenges early this year while simultaneously managing a full schedule, including his WWE commitments and upcoming projects like “Red One,” “Moana 2,” and filming “The Smashing Machine.”
