Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was criticizing more than just his opponents upon his return wwe smackdown Friday night in Memphis.
In a song similar to a skit he performed in 2003, Johnson named his WrestleMania opponents Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, but said: Memphis Grizzlies star Jay Morant And he struggles to deliver one of his recent off-court punchlines.

“You’re trying desperately to cheer everyone up, but… The rock is That title will be gone,” Johnson sang.

“You’re just an embarrassment, son. ja morant when he’s waving a gun. ”
As the crowd roared, Johnson broke out of character and smiled and said, “We love you, Jah. We love you, brother. Get well soon.”
The comment was in reference to Morant’s off-court troubles that resulted in him being suspended twice by the league.

Morant, the 2nd overall pick in the 2019 draft. 2020 NBA Rookie of the Year The player who was named the 2022 Most Improved Player was suspended for the first 25 games of the season for disclosing a gun on social media.
This is the second suspension in less than a year, after missing eight games for a similar violation last season.

Morant’s season was again shortened, this time due to injury.

Earlier this year, the 24-year-old NBA player injured his shoulder during practice and was ruled out for the rest of the season. During his return from his second suspension, Morant averaged 25.1 points in nine games, and the Grizzlies went 6-3 in those games.
