Eagles coach remarks that a boundary was crossed after his house was egged

Kevin Pattullo Reflects on Personal Incident After Home Damage

Kevin Pattullo, the offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles, has publicly acknowledged he “crossed a line” following an unfortunate incident at his New Jersey residence. This was his first comment since his home was damaged by eggs.

Pattullo, 44, expressed that the situation transcends football and intrudes into his personal life. “Ultimately, we want to be able to separate work from family,” he shared on Wednesday.

He described the event as regrettable, emphasizing that it was an unfortunate occurrence. “As a family, we know we must stick together. To be honest, we have fantastic neighbors, and many in the community have reached out to support us. It’s not about any person or group; it just happened, and now we need to move on,” he reflected.

The incident came after the Eagles’ 24-15 defeat against the Chicago Bears on Black Friday. Currently, the Eagles lead the NFC East with an 8-4 record, although their offensive performance seems to have dipped compared to last season, raising concerns among fans regarding Pattullo’s role.

In 2024, under prior coordinator Kellen Moore, the Eagles ranked fifth in the league for points allowed, averaging 29.4 points per game. After winning the Super Bowl, Moore took the head coach position at the New Orleans Saints, leading to Pattullo’s promotion. This season, however, the team’s ranking fell to 19th in scoring, averaging 22.5 points per game with fewer touchdowns than the previous year.

Pattullo stressed that dissatisfaction with performance should not affect the personal lives of coaches or players. “Criticism is part of our job,” he noted. “It’s important to discuss issues, find solutions, and we’re all aware of that. But when it affects families, that clearly crosses a line. That’s what occurred, and now all we can do is move forward.”

The Eagles are set to play against the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday at 8:15 p.m. ET, hoping to rebound from their recent loss to the Bears.
