Eagles fan’s attempt to fly fails during NFC Championship celebrations

After the Birds punched their ticket to the 2025 Super Bowl on Sunday, one Eagles fan took the “Fly Eagles Fly” chants a little too seriously.

A fan wearing an Eagles No. 5 jersey was seen hanging from a flag after climbing a pole just outside the Ritz-Carlton in Center City, Philadelphia, which was torn and fell to the ground. was confirmed in a video on social media.

Eagles fans flocked to the streets, danced on top of cars and climbed telephone poles after Philadelphia defeated the Commanders 55-23 in the NFC Championship game at Lincoln Financial Field.

The man crashed into a crowd of screaming Eagles fans, who appeared to be unharmed and began cheering.

He grabbed a “Go Birds” flag attached to a pole and waved it in the air before it was torn down.

The video showed another man clinging to the top of the pole.

People could be seen photographing the moment, with some climbing traffic lights and other structures.

The scene in Philadelphia after the Eagles punched their ticket to the 2025 Super Bowl on Sunday looked like something straight out of an action movie, but they didn't have a stuntman.

Other videos on social media showed the Eagles faithful marching down Broad Street.

This is the Eagles' second Super Bowl appearance in three seasons.

This time, they have star running back Saquon Barkley. He spent six seasons with the Giants before agreeing to a three-year, $37.75 million contract last March.

This will be Barkley's first Super Bowl appearance since appearing in two playoff games against New York.

The Chiefs and Eagles will meet again in the Super Bowl on February 9th in New Orleans.

Kansas City defeated Philadelphia 38-35 in the 2023 Super Bowl.
