Two weeks before the start of the 2024 NFL season, the Eagles and Commanders completed a rare intra-division trade on Thursday.
Philadelphia acquired wide receiver Jahan Dotson to bolster its offense and sent a 2025 third-round pick and two 2025 seventh-round picks to Washington. The team announced.
The Eagles also receive a 2025 fifth-round pick in the trade.
Dotson, 24, was the Commanders’ first-round pick (16th overall) in the 2022 NFL Draft.
He caught 49 passes for 518 yards and four touchdowns in 17 games after catching 35 passes for 523 yards and seven touchdowns in 12 games as a rookie last year.
Dotson will join an offense led by quarterback Jalen Hurts, which acquired former Giants running back Saquon Barkley in free agency and already boasts two talented receivers in AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith.

The trade was the second of the day for the Commanders, who also acquired kicker Cade York from the Browns.
