During the Philadelphia Eagles' 26-18 win over the Washington Commanders on Thursday night, quarterback Jalen Hurts entered the medical tent to undergo a concussion test.
The star quarterback's head hit the field on multiple plays in the first half.
Early in the second quarter, Hurts was sacked by defensive back Frankie Lube, and the quarterback's head hit the turf hard. Hurts rolled over onto his stomach after the hit and remained on the field for several minutes before standing up.

Late in the second quarter, while in the red zone, Hurts was taken down by two defenders as he scrambled out of the pocket. The impact caused Hertz's helmet to slam face-first into the ground.
Just before halftime, Hurts entered the medical tent to undergo a concussion test, which he passed and did not miss any snaps.
Reporters asked Hurts how he felt after the game.
“I think we probably broke protocol,” Hurts said.

As for how he broke protocol, the quarterback answered unequivocally, “I broke protocol.”
Was Hurts surprised that he went into concussion protocol?
“That happens. Are you surprised? I don't know.”
Hurts completed 18 of 28 passes for 221 yards and rushed for 39 yards and a touchdown in the win.

Running back Saquon Barkley had another dominant game for the Eagles, rushing for 146 yards and scoring two key touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
The Eagles won six straight games and the victory over the Commanders lifted them to the top of the NFC East and solidified their status as Super Bowl contenders.
The Eagles will next complete their winning streak and face the Rams in Los Angeles on November 24th.
