Eagles sell out of dirty snow from NFL playoff game in bizarre cash grab

A select few Eagles fans received special memorabilia from Philadelphia's regional round victory over the Rams at Lincoln Financial Field.

Let's hope they put it in the freezer soon.

The team sold 100 pints of snow from Sunday's game for $50 each, and the lot sold out in about two hours.

According to an Eagles press release, “Snow is transported using dry ice to maintain its natural condition during transportation.”

The team encourages buyers to “refrigerate containers to further preserve and maintain the original snow condition.”

Eagles brass made quite a pitch for unique memorabilia on their sales page. Zariarest.com.

“This isn't your typical memorabilia; it's a tangible, frozen snapshot of the grit, passion and determination that defined an iconic game,” the product description reads. “By preserving and making authentic the very snow that surrounded this monumental game, we provide fans with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to connect with a playoff experience like never before.”

Eagles cornerback Darius Slay was surprised the team even had the creativity to sell buckets of frozen water.

“What are you doing, scooping it into something like ice cream?” Slay said Wednesday when asked about selling snow. “That's crazy. So, is anyone really going to buy snow?

However, when Slay learned that Snow had already sold out, he wasn't completely surprised given the enthusiasm of Eagles fans.

“People bought snow? That's why this is the best city,” Slay said. “They have a passion here. We buy snow. We love it.”
