It may be cold in Philadelphia, but the rivalry between the Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers heated up at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday night.
A brief skirmish broke out in the first quarter after Steelers tight end Darnell Washington appeared to block Eagles defensive back Darius Slay in the back of the end zone. Players from both teams gathered around them and a jostling ensued.

Washington and Steelers wide receiver Calvin Austin III was cautioned for an alleged unnecessary roughness penalty. The Eagles accepted the penalty against Washington. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was upset about the penalty and informed one of the officials about it.
Pittsburgh finished the drive with a 37-yard Chris Boswell field goal.

Philadelphia responded on its next drive. Jalen Hurts led the team with a six-play, 70-yard drive that ended with a touchdown pass to AJ Brown.
Both teams entered the so-called Battle of Pennsylvania as legitimate Super Bowl contenders. Russell Wilson has looked to be on his A-game in recent weeks, with his defense playing as well as ever as they compete for the AFC North crown.
The Eagles remain in first place in the NFC East against the rival Washington Commanders, despite controversy over Hurts and Brown.
