Election Day Approaches
With just nine days left until Election Day, both major parties are making a significant effort to influence the outcome in Congress.
President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance are mobilizing Republicans nationwide, while former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Kamala Harris are hitting the campaign trail for Democrats.
This month’s campaign map highlights the stops made by both sides, marking states they’ve visited in gray.
Trump’s campaign travels cover a wide range of states—Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio, Georgia, Florida, and Michigan, to name a few. He mentioned earlier this month an ambitious goal of five to seven rallies per week. Just this past weekend, he held events in Florida on Friday, Georgia on Saturday, and Michigan on Sunday.
As the election nears, rising prices are putting Trump’s economic policies under scrutiny while the GOP fights to maintain control of Congress.
The map showcases both solidly Republican states and those with competitive races. Oklahoma and Alabama, for instance, are traditionally Republican states where rallies might invigorate the GOP base.
Key Senate contests are happening in Ohio, Texas, and Iowa, with recent polling from the Cook Political Report indicating that Democratic candidates have a slight edge in all three races. Additionally, Michigan emerges as another crucial battleground for Senate control.
Meanwhile, Obama and Harris are lending their star power to help Democrats in states where the stakes are higher.
Obama’s recent campaign stops have included Ohio and Michigan, while Harris has been active in Nevada, Mississippi, and New Hampshire.
The map reflects campaign activities but isn’t an official ranking of battleground states. Still, it provides insight into where both parties are making last-minute efforts to engage voters ahead of November 3.
