PragerU’s New Music Program for Kids

Jill Simonian from PragerU recently spoke with Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlowe about the significance of patriotic music and early childhood education. During their conversation, she shared insights on new initiatives that conservative groups are pursuing.

On a recent episode of the Alex Marlowe Show, Simonian highlighted how PragerU has created a music program aimed at children, stating that “kids aren’t really learning songs anymore, especially the younger ones.” She explained that they decided to develop a music show to teach kids a mix of patriotic, folk, and classic American songs that have largely fallen out of favor.

“We thought, ‘Let’s create a music show where kids can engage with these songs,'” she added. “It’s evolved into a complete production set in a barn, featuring puppets that our Plagel Kids team crafted from scratch, along with animations. These puppets perform American songs for children to enjoy and learn.”

Simonian also discussed the broader implications of values in education, reflecting on the removal of God from schools. She expressed her belief that this change was a significant misstep. “People often point to the Supreme Court’s decision, but courts can be wrong,” she remarked.

Marlowe chimed in, noting the inconsistencies in legal judgments, comparing the court’s stance on various high-profile cases.

As Simonian detailed, one of the show’s themes centers around the idea of America being blessed by God, as showcased in episodes featuring “The Grand Old Flag,” “The Star-Spangled Banner,” and “America the Beautiful.” She emphasized that this narrative captures the essence of American identity.

In addition, the episodes also explore themes like friendship and bravery. In one particular episode, animals face thunder and lightning, ultimately learning to be brave and take care of themselves.

Marlowe highlighted that PragerU founder Dennis Prager once said that courage is a rare and valuable quality. Simonian agreed, emphasizing the need to actively teach courage, especially to young people. “I often tell my teens, ‘Be brave. Don’t hesitate to express yourself and stay true to our values at home,'” she concluded.
