Several Hollywood stars have threatened to leave the United States if Donald Trump wins the election. It remains to be seen how many of them will be able to show goodwill with the ultimatum.
But one of the stars most definitely heading overseas is Ellen DeGeneres. And she doesn't just leave. She is “never coming back.”
Dave Rubin and co-hosts Winston Marshall and Isabel Brown discuss the exodus of TV stars.
“She can't live in a billion-dollar Montecito house with all the servants anymore. She's moving to England,” says Dave. “I'm pretty sure the jihadists running around the streets of London love lesbians.”
“Please keep her,” sighs Marshall, who is originally from England. “The situation is bad enough.”
But seriously, the liberal hysteria after Trump's victory has grown to laughable levels.
“I read the other day that a cruise company is actually offering a four-year cruise to over 400 ports of entry for about $200,000 to temporarily escape the country during President Trump's term.” says Mr. Brown.
Moreover, it is ironic that DeGeneres has gone to the trouble of fleeing to the UK, where freedom of speech is “not guaranteed.”
One might think, “Talk show hosts like Ellen DeGeneres are used to the protection of being able to say everything.” [her] Brown added that while he would value the First Amendment with a view to criticizing those in power, he would clearly prefer Orwellian control over British speech.
