Elon Musk Blames ‘Massive Cyberattack’ for X Outages

Elon Musk's X, formerly known as Twitter, has been working on multiple major outages within just one day, causing users around the world to have no access to the platform. In a post on a still unstable platform, Musk wrote:

Toms Guide Report The social media giant, formerly known as Twitter, faces multiple major outages in a single day, causing frustration and confusion among its vast user base. The initial outage occurred early in the morning, with reports peaking at around 21,000 on the website Down detector. This issue was resolved relatively quickly, and the platform seemed to function properly for several hours.

However, a few hours later, the return to operation was short-lived as a second serious halt hit. This time, the number of reports on descent has skyrocketed above 40,000, indicating a much bigger problem. Users in major cities across the country, including New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, reported that they were unable to access the platform through both their website and their mobile app.

Speculations about the cause of the outage are beginning to spread, with some users suggesting that X could be the target of a series of distributed denial of service (DDOS) attacks. These attacks include flooding your website or service with overwhelming amounts of traffic, making it inaccessible to legitimate users. A group known as the “Dark Storm Team” has claimed responsibility for attacks on social media, but these claims have not been independently verified.

After about 45 minutes, the second outage appeared to be resolved and the user was able to access X again. However, the relief was temporary as the third halt attacked the platform after 30 minutes. Again, we found that users could not load the X website or access the service via the mobile app.

As the third halt continues, users are turning to alternative social media platforms to express their views and maintaining their connection. Some people have speculated about the long-term impact of these outages on X's user base and whether the company can regain user trust.
