Elon Musk donates ‘sizable amount’ to pro-Trump super PAC: report 

Billionaire Elon Musk has reportedly donated money to a political group supporting former President Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

Musk, 53, made a “substantial” donation to the America PAC. Bloomberg News It was reported on Friday.

According to the media, super PACs have until July 15 to disclose their donor lists.


Musk has previously said he would not donate directly to either Trump or Biden. Via Reuters

The USA PAC was launched in May in Austin, Texas, where Musk’s electric car company Tesla is headquartered.

The group’s website encourages visitors to “register to vote” and “make a plan to vote early in person or by mail.”

“Vote and have your say on whether America can be a land of freedom and opportunity for all. Your vote can help win the biggest election in American history!” the website reads.

According to the New York Times, USA PAC has spent at least $6.6 million on Trump’s behalf.

Musk, the world’s richest man, met Trump, 78, in Florida in March.

“I was having breakfast at a friend’s house and Donald Trump came over. That was it,” Musk told former CNN anchor Don Lemon about the meeting, noting that Trump “mostly talked” but didn’t ask for campaign funds.

“I have not made any donations to either candidate for President of the United States,” the SpaceX founder later wrote to X.

Musk, who also owns the social media platform “X,” has been an outspoken opponent of Biden but has not publicly endorsed any candidate in the 2024 election.

In May, the South African-born CEO also denied reports that he was considering a White House adviser role under a future Trump administration.

Musk became a US citizen in 2002.

“Look, I’ve known him for many years,” Trump said of the billionaire entrepreneur in an interview with CNBC earlier this year.

“I helped him when I was president. I helped him. I liked him,” he added.
