Elon Musk is the wealthiest person on the planet, and it's not nearby. His Net assetswhich is primarily based on ownership in Tesla and SpaceX shares, and is close to $400 billion. Second place is a teammate of high-tech giant Mark Zuckerberg.
The only difference between Musk and Zuckerberg is greater than Kenya's gross domestic product.
Especially on more than half of the planet, it feels wrong to have that wealth sit in one hand. I live for less than $5 a day. On some level, the mask must understand this. Perhaps that's why he spends so much time trying to justify his extravagance.
One way he does so is to mythologize his own work ethic. A common theme in Musk's rhetoric is that he won all his penny of almost $400 billion. In his public self-concept, the mask is not a baby of trust funds. AU Contrair – Musk is a robust industrialist and an entrepreneur who has earned wealth through hard work and tenacity.
In that trend, recently I insisted That he works 120 hours a week. He then called on government ministry employees to do the same.
Even if the mask is honest and works really well, it's still a nonsense proposition.
Employees should not be run to the ground. Workers are quickly exhausted and likely depressed, so this approach probably won't even increase productivity in the long run. In a short order, they can't put their best self into working every day, and spell Doom for every office, whether in the public or private sector.
It also tells us that Musk is advocating for literally tripling the standard week without raising wages. This shows that billionaires don't care about their employees and are willing to trample on their rights of work when pursuing their own purposes. For Musk, the worker is merely a cog in his machine, not a family member who sometimes wants to see. Working 120 hours a week does not allow that. It leaves only room for sleep (barely).
That would all be bad enough. But Musk is also a hypocrite, requiring government officials to demand that he does not. Despite what he claims, Musk has no way of working 120 hours a week. His own words prove that.
While appearing on Joe Rogan's podcast, Musk I said He sleeps for six hours every night. It's 42 hours a week. With 168 hours a week, this leaves only 126 left in all awakening activities. I'm not working or sleeping for just six hours a week.
Musk too claim Becoming one of the 20 best players in Diablo, the video game on Earth. The game is very popular Millions Active monthly players. Given this tough competition, Musk must have had to spend quite a bit of time gaining that elite ranking.
Such commitments are almost impossible when the mask works 120 hours a week. He will be able to use about 51 minutes each day to play the game. This is a generous estimate. It doesn't explain the time he tries to eat, in the toilet, or produce More descendants.
It would simply not be enough to win such a rank. Many gamers question mask claims defendant He enlists others to play on his behalf. If true, it only emphasizes Musk's affinity for profiting from the labor of others.
But there's more. Musk relies on X, a social media app he owns. He often tweets more than 100 times a day (not including retweets). It's a serious time commitment, and makes Musk's probably more suspicious about Hercules' work schedule. He simply can't tell the truth.
Musk's obvious lies show how Ultra Rich goes so long to justify their unjust wealth. Musk and the company will say they are that rich because they worked so hard. Nonsense. Like people stuck in a trap of poverty, billionaires are by far the product of the situation.
The sweat from the forehead does not inflate your bank account beyond the scale of the national economy. Capitalism – and it rewards very beautifully, but arbitrarily.
