Elon Musk knocks Dana Carvey impression on ‘dying’ ‘Saturday Night Live’

Tech billionaire Elon Musk slammed actor Dana Carvey for her impression of “Saturday Night Live” (SNL), saying comedy shows are “dying.”

“SNL slowly died out over the years because it got further and further away from reality.” Mr. Musk posted on Xa social media platform he owns.

Musk criticized SNL's owner, NBC News, for its “desperate tactics” to “compromise the same airtime requirement.”

Vice President Kamala Harris made a brief appearance on SNL before the election. Following her appearance, NBC offered President-elect Trump airtime as part of the Federal Communications Commission's “equal time” rules, which allow rival candidates to request airtime if they wish.

On Saturday's episode of SNL, the cast jokingly called out President Trump outside in the cold. Carvey, an SNL alum who appeared as President Biden in a recent sketch, imitated Musk in the sketch.

Mr. Carvey jumped up and down, flailing his arms, recalling when Mr. Musk took to the stage at Mr. Trump's rally last month.

“Look, dark MAGA,” Carvey, who plays The Mask, says in the sketch.
