The report that Musk had pledged a large donation to the USA PAC came shortly after he publicly endorsed Trump, less than an hour after Trump was shot at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday. Announced He said he would support Trump in the November presidential election.
Throughout 2024, Musk has made statements that suggested political ambiguity at the time they were made, but that in retrospect may hint at his alleged future donations to America PAC. For example, in February, Musk claimed he would not donate to “either candidate for President of the United States.” This is a statement vowing not to directly support either Trump or Biden, but does not preclude donations to organizations close to the candidates, such as America PAC.
